Now celebrating its 8th season, Sub League is gearing up for its biggest and best series of competitions yet.
Athletes must qualify to compete for bragging rights in the June 2 Championship by placing first through fifth in one or both of the two Qualifier tournaments.
In Sub League's classic format, matches end in a win, lose, or draw… there are no points within a match, either one athlete gets a submission for the win, or there is a draw.
Sub League will offer both Gi and No-gi competition at this event. The tournament operates in a pool format, where athletes compete against all the competitors in their pool (maximum of seven competitors in a pool). This format, as opposed to single elimination (where the number of competitors are cut in half each round), allows for more guaranteed matches for each athlete.
